SSI Specialty Course - Underwater Digital Photography

 

This program teaches you the skills needed to dive with an underwater camera, and provides the in-depth knowledge and experience required to properly use, maintain and store your equipment. Our goal is help you capture your amazing underwater experiences. You will earn the SSI Photo & Video Specialty certification.

Course Content Includes:

• Your Entry to the Underwater Photography

• Your Digital Camera System

• Using your Camera System

• Taking digital pictures under water

• Composition of your underwater pictures

• Editing your digital pictures

 

Prerequisite:

• Minimum age 10 years old. 

• Open Water certification or the equivlent.

 

What Do I Need to Bring:

• Current, completed medical form. If you have any "YES" answers, you MUST have a physician sign off that you are cleared to dive.

• Your Total Dive System.

• Rental equipment and air fills are not included with this specialty training course.

Where:

• The classroom session and open water training dives will be held at Mermet Springs.

• This course may also be completed in an area pool.

Training Materials:

Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on
your MYSSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com. You must complete all quizzes with a
score of 100% before you arrive for class.  There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the
classroom portion. You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.

Training Dives:

• ​You will complete 2 training dives for certification.  These may be completed either in a pool or in the open water at Mermet Springs.

Class Fees:

Total cost for the class is $150.00

• $100 includes your instruction, instructor fees, & entry into our facility.

• $50 pays for your digital home study program, certification fees, your digital certification card, certification card, and diploma

• A deposit of $50 plus purchasing your digital kit will hold your place in the class.

• Note: There will be a $50 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 7 day notice.

• All Specialty classes should be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.
