Scuba Skills Update Course

This course gives divers who have not been diving for 6 months or longer the opportunity to review and practice necessary skills under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional.

Course Includes: Your body and the aquatic environment, using your total dive system, breathing gas and the effects on your body and the value of a dive buddy.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old, be an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

Course Cost: $150

Boat Diver

This program give you the skills and knowledge required to safely dive from a boat, allowing you to get the most from your underwater opportunities.

Course Includes: Preparing for your trip, traveling and diving from a boat.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 10 years old & an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 training dives for certification.

Deep Diver Course

Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water.  The SSI Deep Diver Course will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 60 feet.

Course Includes: Your Total Dive system in deep water, planning and executing your deep dive, potential hazards and repetitive deep dives.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 15 years old, be an Open Water Diver and have at least 15 logged dives.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 3 open water training dives for certification.

Course Cost: $150

Dry Suit Diver Course

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortable dive while using a dry suit.  

Course Includes: Types of dry suits, undergarments, accessories, techniques and maintenance.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 12 years old & an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 training dives for certification.

Course cost: $175

Enriched Air Nitrox Course

This program will teach you how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen.

Course Includes: Nitrox and your body, your total dive system and nitrox and planning dives.  The use of 2 nitrox cylinders.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment is available on site.

Training Dives: Are not required for this course.  However, 2 nitrox cylinders are included.

Course Cost: $175

Equipment Techniques Course

This program teaches you how to maintain and store your Total Diving System and ensures performance and increases the longevity of your equipment.  

Course Includes: The basics if maintaining your equipment, accessories and traveling with your equipment.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 10 years old & an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: Training dives are not required for certification.

Full Face Mask Course

This program is designed to introduce you to the skills used in diving with a full face mask.

Course Includes: History, features and benefits of FFMs, communications options, skills, safety drills and procedures.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

Course Cost: $175

Navigation Course

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably navigate underwater during a dive using a compass and natural navigation.

Course Includes: Natural and compass navigation, combining both, special navigation situations and the sport of navigation.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 10 years old & an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

Night & Limited Visibility Course

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions.

Course Includes: Special equipment, preparing for the dive and advanced techniques.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

Course Cost: $150

Perfect Buoyancy Course

This program teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximize your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water and get the most from your equipment.

Course Includes: Understanding the equipment used for buoyancy, types of suits impact on buoyancy and control.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 10 years old & an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

Science of Diving Course

This program provides an in-depth and detailed study of physics, physiology, decompression theory, the aquatic environment and diving equipment.

Course Includes: Physics, physiology, decompression theory, aquatic environment and equipment.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a 2 day course.

What to Bring: Calculator, digital dive tables and a notepad.

Training Dives: Training dives are not required for this course.

Course Cost: $279

Search & Recovery Course

This program provides the skills and concepts required to safely plan and conduct search and recovery dives.

Course Includes: Factors that affect Search & Recovery operations, planning and organizing, techniques, conducting the search, search patterns, limited visibility, potential hazards and techniques for safe rigging and recovery of items.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 12 years old, at least 24 logged dives recommended and an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 1 confined water and 2 open water training dives for certification.

Course cost: $175

Diver Stress & Rescue Course

This program teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers.

Course Includes: Identifying stress, causes and prevention of stress, accident management, conditions that complicate rescues, CPR, First Aid and oxygen provider.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 12 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.  

Course Duration: This course is held over 1 evening and 2 days

What to Bring: Total Dive System.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete multiple open water rescue scenarios.

Course Cost: $330

Underwater Photography Course

This program teaches you the skills needed to dive with a camera and provides the in-depth knowledge and experience required to properly use, maintain and store your equipment.

Course Includes: Using your digital camera system, taking photos underwater, composition of pictures and editing your photos.

Prerequisite: Must be at least 10 years old and an Open Water Diver.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System and underwater camera.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open or confined water training dives for certification.

Course cost: $150

Wreck Diver Course

This program gives you the skills and knowledge required to safely dive above and around underwater wrecks.

Course Includes: Knowledge of wreck environments, historical value of wrecks, plan and organize dives and identify hazards of penetration.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 10 years old and  be an Open Water Diver.  

Course Duration: This is a 1 day course.

What to Bring: Total Dive System, primary light, backup light and reel.  Rental equipment and air fills are available on site.

Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

Course Cost: $150

PSI Visual Cylinder Inspector Course

This certification course teaches the basics of conducting the annual inspections of solid wall and composite SCUBA and SCBA cylinders.  This course offered during off-season.

Course Includes: Workbooks and hands-on training, understanding damage limits, neck cracking and laws affecting inspectors.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 16 years old.

Course Duration: This is a one day course.

What to Bring: Workbooks and note pad.

Course Cost: Full Course - $295; Refresher Course (for those who took the more than 3 years prior) - $195; Update Seminar (For those within the 3 year re-training requirements) - $75

PSI HAZMAT Handler of SCUBA & SCBA

This course gives you the training required by OSHA and DOT for employees who "are affected" by high pressure cylinders.  Retraining required every 3 years.  This course is offered during the off-season.

Course Includes: Hazzard awareness and legal requirements for cylinder handlers.

Course Duration: 1-2 hours.

What to Bring: Workbooks and note pad

Course Cost: $65

PSI Fill Station Operator Course

This course meets the OSHA requirements for those operating filling equipment.  This course offered during off-season.

Course Includes: Pre-fill inspection, proper techniques, system maintenance and emergency procedures,

Course Duration: 1-3 hours.

What to Bring: Workbooks and note pad.

Course Cost: $65

DAN Emergency Oxygen Provider

This course gives you the skills you need to assist with scuba diving injuries and non-fatal drowning.

Course Includes: Primary diving first aid, O2 delivery, providing O2 to breathing & non-breathing injured divers

Course Duration: 4-5 hours

What to Bring: Note pad

Course Cost: Full course - $125, Refresher course - $75

DAN Basic Life Support Course

This course will help prepare you to handle cardiovascular events and other life-threatening incidents.  Meets ILCOR/AHA Guidelines.  Refresher course required every 2 years.

Course Includes: Primary & secondary assessments, signs & symptoms of common medical emergencies and stroke assessment.

Course Duration: 1-3 hours.

Course Cost: Full course - $135, Refresher Course - $75

Diving First Aid For Professional Divers Course

This course is designed for commercial, professional, aquarium and scientific divers providing first-aid knowledge and skills specific to these work environments.

Course Includes: Anatomy, physiology, blood-borne pathogens, decompression illness, oxygen first-aid, response, assessment and medical emergency management.

Course Duration: 2 day course
