SSI Specialty Course - Full Face Mask Diver

​The SSI Full Face Mask Diver specialty course is designed to introduce you to the skills used in diving with a full face mask. This class will include both academic and hands-on, in water sessions. 

 

* Search and Recovery is a great add on class!

* Nitrox is also a great add on class!

 

Course Content Includes:

• History of full face masks

• Features of full face masks

• Benefits of diving with a full face mask

• Underwater communications options

• Skills for diving with a full face mask

• Safety drills and procedures

• Use of a Full Face Mask during class

Prerequisite:

• Must be at least 10 years old. 

• Open Water Diver or equivalent 

 

What Do I Need to Bring:

• Current, completed medical form. If you have any "YES" answers, you MUST have a physician sign off that you are cleared to dive.

• Your Total Dive System

• Rental equipment, other than the Full Face Mask, and air fills are not included with this specialty training course.

Where:

• The classroom sessions and training dives will be held at Mermet Springs.

• Total Duration of class is 7 hours.​

Training Materials:

Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on
your MYSSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com. You must complete all quizzes with a
score of 100% before you arrive for class. There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the
classroom portion. You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.​

Training Dives:

• You will complete 2 open water training dives for certification.

 

Class Fees:

Total cost for the class is $175.00.

• $125 includes your instruction, instructor fees, entry into our facility, use of the full face mask during your training, & free use of the full face mask for the remainder of the day.

• $50 pays for your digital home study program, certification fees, your digital certification card, certification card, and diploma

• A deposit of $50 plus purchasing your digital kit will hold your place in the class.

• Note: There will be a $50 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 7 day notice.

• All specialty classes should be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.
