SSI Specialty Course - Equipment Techniques

 

The SSI Equipment Techniques teaches you how to maintain and store your Total Diving System. This ensures performance and increases the longevity of your equipment. You will earn the SSI Equipment Techniques Specialty certification.

Course Content Includes:
  • Understanding Your Total Diving System: The Basics

  • Understanding Your Total Diving System: Scuba Equipment

  • Understanding Your Total Diving System: Specialty Training and Accessory System

  • Traveling With Your Total Diving System

 

Prerequisite:
  • Minimum age 10 years old. 

  • Open Water certification or the equivalent.

 

What Do I Need to Bring:
  • Current, completed medical form.  If you have any "YES" answers you MUST have a physician sign off that you are cleared to dive.

  • Your Total Dive system

  • Rental equipment and air fills are not included with this specialty course.

Where:
  • The classroom session will be held at Mermet Springs or at Mermet Springs Training Center.

  • Total duration of the class is 7 hours.

Training Materials:

Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on
your MYSSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com. You must complete all quizzes with a
score of 100% before you arrive for class. There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the
classroom portion. You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.

Training Dives:
  • Training dives are not required for certification.  

 

Class Fees:

Total cost for the class is $150.00

  • $100 includes your instruction, instructor fees, & entry into our facility.

  • $50 pays for your digital home study program, certification fees, your digital certification card, certification card, and diploma

  • A deposit of $50 plus purchasing your digital kit will hold your place in the class.

  • Note: There will be a $50 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 7 day notice.

  • All specialty classes should be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.
