SSI Specialty Course - Deep Diving

Many exciting dive sites are located in deeper water. Without proper training, this kind of diving puts you at risk. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will give you the ability to safely and comfortably plan and conduct dives beyond 60 feet, and is a prerequisite for some advanced training. You will earn the SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification. after completing this program

Course Content Includes:

• Understanding how your Total Diving System assists in Deep Diving

• Planning Your Deep Dive

• Your Deep Dive

• Potential Hazards

• Repetitive Deep Diving

Prerequisite:

• Must be at least 15 years old

• Be an Open Water Diver or equivalent

• Have logged at least 15 dives

What Do I Need to Bring:

• Current, completed medical form. If you have any "YES" answers, you MUST have a physician sign off that you are cleared to dive.

• Your Total Dive System

• Rental equipment and air fills are not included with this specialty training course.

 

Where:

• The classroom session will be held at Mermet Springs or at Mermet Springs Training Center.

• Total Duration of class is 7 hours.

 

Training Materials:

Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on your MySSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com.  You must complete all quizzes with a score of 100% before you arrive.  There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the classroom portion.  You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.

 

Training Dives:

• You will complete 3 open water training dives for certification.

Class Fees:

The cost of the class is $150.00.

• $100 includes your instruction, instructor fees & entry into our facility.

• $50 pays for your digital home study program, certification fees, your digital certification card, certification card and diploma. 

• A deposit of $50.00 plus purchasing your digital kit will hold your place in the class.

• Note:  There will be a $50 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 7 day notice.

• All Specialty classes should be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.
