SSI Course - Skills Update Scuba Training - PRINT FLYER

 

Provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional.  The Scuba Skills Update is often required for continuing your dive training after a long period of time away from the sport.  your will be issued a digital SSI Scuba Skills Update recognition card.

 

Course Content Includes:
  • Your Body and the Aquatic Environment

  • Using your Life Support Equipment Underwater

  • Breathing Gas and the Effects on your Body

  • The Value of a Dive Buddy and Executing your Dives

  • Your Scuba Diving Experiences and Beyond

Prerequisite: 
  • Must be at least 10 years old

  • Be an Open Water Diver or equivalent 

​

What do I Need to Bring:
  • Current, completed medical form.  If you have an "YES" answers you MUST have a physician sign off that you are cleared to dive.

  • Your Total Dive System

  • Rental Equipment and air fills are not included with this update training course.

Where:
  • ​Classroom sessions and open water training dives will be held at Mermet Springs.

  • This course may also be completed in a local pool.

  • Total Duration of class is 7 hours

Training Materials:

Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on
your MYSSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com.  You must complete all sections of the digital training prior to coming to class.

​

Training Dives:
  • You will complete 2 training dives for completion. 

​

Class Fees:

Total cost for the class is $150.00

  • $100 includes your instruction, instructor fees, & entry into our facility.

  • $50 pays for your digital home study program, certification fees, your digital certification card, certification card, and diploma

  • A deposit of $50 plus purchasing your digital kit will hold your place in the class.

  • Note:  There will be a $50 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling class with less than a 7 day notice.

  • All specialty classes should be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.
