"Dept h attracts a lot of divers as deep dives provide this certain kick.” Dive in places where only a few have explored before! Get the experience of diving on a wreck below 100 feet/30 meters! To do these dives safely, you need the right skills and the right knowledge and that is exactly what DEEP DIVING provides you. Without proper training this kind of diving is an uncontrollable safety risk. To plan your dives properly you must first know about all of the potential risks involved in DEEP DIVING. SSI’s DEEP DIVING course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience required to make these types of dives safely and comfortably. DEEP DIVING SPECIALTY COURSE Content:

Combine other specialties while taking the DEEP DIVING course! WRECK DIVING or PERFECT BUOYANCY are great add ons - both courses will be used in your deep diving adventures. The possibilities are limitless!
The Deep Diver Specialty course will give you the information needed to plan and conduct no-decompression dives to a maximum depth of 130 feet. Over a one day period you will conduct a total of two open water dives. The minimum depth for the dives is between 60 and 100 feet. All dives for the Deep Diver Specialty will be no-decompression and conducted no deeper than 100 feet. This course looks at a variety of areas including: Planning and conducting a deep dive, Equipment considerations, Nitrogen Narcosis and DCS, Dive table (and computer) review, Review of flying after diving, Potential hazards of deep diving, Procedures for safety stops, and emergency decompression.

Prerequisite: Be at least 15 years old.
Where: The classroom sessions and training dives will be held at MERMET SPRINGS.
When: The classroom and training dives are usually scheduled for Saturday or Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a one day training class.
What do I bring to Class?: You will need to bring your manuals and workbooks to the classroom session.
Manuals and Workbooks: Please make arrangements to purchase your books and video before class. You should have your manuals read, the study video viewed and the review questions answered by the start of your class. There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the classroom portion. You must pass the exam before completing the open water check out dives.
Upon successful Completion of this course you will receive a diploma, a specialty patch and a certification card.
Class fees: The cost of the class is $75.00 plus books and training materials.. Fee does include your entry and certification fees. A deposit of $25.00 will hold your place in the class.
Note: There will be a $25.00 rescheduling fee for anyone canceling a class with less than a 3-day notice.
Training Dives: You will complete 2 open water-training dives for certification.
