SSI DIVER STRESS & RESCUE

“Be prepared for those unexpected emergencies."

Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur.

The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and under water. The course runs two - four days in which you will participate in academic and in-water sessions in the pool and in the open water. As a prerequisite for certification you need to have a valid CPR & First Aid certificate.

  • Detecting And Dealing With Stress
  • Accident Management
  • Skills Needed To Deal With Panic And Rescues
  • Conditions That Complicate Rescues

Combine other specialties while taking the DIVER STRESS & RESCUE course! NAVIGATION or SEARCH AND RECOVERY are great add ons. The possibilities are limitless!

Stress & RescueThe rescue diver class includes 4 certifications. At the conclusion of this class you will be certified in CPR, De-Fib, DAN 02, and Stress Rescue . This class is challenging and is geared for the person who is serious about their diving.

NOTE: All of the above certifications are prerequisites for Dive Control Specialist.

Pool Session: Held at an area pool, to be announced.

Rescue Scenarios will be held in open water at Mermet Springs.

Manuals and workbooks must be read before the start of class.

Cost: The cost of this class is 260.00. A deposit of 100.00 is required to hold your place in the class and receive your training materials. (Books and video must be purchased separately)

Mermet Springs will provide the following: All entry fees to the pool and open water dives, all certification fees and a Diploma.

As a rescue diver you should have your own equipment. If you do not you will need to make arrangements to rent the equipment for your water training dates.
