Home News & Events Latest Fire Truck Addition

At 10AM on May the 10th, 2008, our latest addition was pushed into quarry by "diver power".  This 15,000 lb Fire Truck was thoroughly cleaned and all fluids from the engine and transmission were removed.  The truck entered the water supported by three 6000lb lift bags and held at a shallow depth.  It was then moved into deeper water where it was dropped onto three more 6000lb catch bags and suspended at a depth (approx. 45 feet).  This allowed us to float the suspended truck just a few feet off of the bottom.  The truck was then moved into place between the ambulance and the train car, then gently placed on the bottom.  A new rope line has been added from the front of the Fire Truck to the train car.
