The 20 Commandments at Mermet Springs
Thou Shalt...
- STOP at office and check in each day.
- present your c-card or be accompanied by an instructor.
- complete a liability release. (divers and non-divers)
- NOT drink alcoholic beverages on the premises.
- NOT bring your pet.
- NOT bring or use a portable compressor.
- NOT swim without a PFD or a BCD.
- NOT jump or dive from rocks or cliffs.
- NOT dive solo.
- only camp at Mermet Springs if thou are a diver or a divers guest.
- keep campfires in designated areas.
- use only the designated entrances to the quarry.
- keep the docks and walkways clear of all gear.
- leave picnic tables and gear racks where they are located.
- NOT fish or spearfish.
- NOT enter any restricted areas.
- help preserve our quarry by not breaking the limbs off the trees in the underwater forest.
- bring any items found to the office. We do have a lost and found.
- keep all children under supervision at all times.
- be at least 18 years old to camp unless with a group with adult supervision.
Deep Diving at Mermet Springs |
DO NOT DIVE BELOW 60 FEET UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Training in deep diving and the ability to breathe on a free flowing regulator.
- A properly serviced cold water regulator.
- Proper thermal protection for 42 degree water.
- Or are under the direct supervision of an instructor.
THE FOLLOWING ARE ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
- Dive light.
- Dive Computer.
- Pony bottle or Spare air.
- Hang bottle for safety stop.
