 The 20 Commandments at Mermet Springs

Thou Shalt...

  • STOP at office and check in each day.
  • present your c-card or be accompanied by an instructor.
  • complete a liability release. (divers and non-divers)
  • NOT drink alcoholic beverages on the premises.
  • NOT bring your pet.
  • NOT bring or use a portable compressor.
  • NOT swim without a PFD or a BCD.
  • NOT jump or dive from rocks or cliffs.
  • NOT dive solo.
  • only camp at Mermet Springs if thou are a diver or a divers guest.
  • keep campfires in designated areas.
  • use only the designated entrances to the quarry.
  • keep the docks and walkways clear of all gear.
  • leave picnic tables and gear racks where they are located.
  • NOT fish or spearfish.
  • NOT enter any restricted areas.
  • help preserve our quarry by not breaking the limbs off the trees in the underwater forest.
  • bring any items found to the office. We do have a lost and found.
  • keep all children under supervision at all times.
  • be at least 18 years old to camp unless with a group with adult supervision.
Deep Diving at Mermet Springs

DO NOT DIVE BELOW 60 FEET UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Training in deep diving and the ability to breathe on a free flowing regulator.
  • A properly serviced cold water regulator.
  • Proper thermal protection for 42 degree water.
  • Or are under the direct supervision of an instructor.

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

  • Dive light.
  • Dive Computer.
  • Pony bottle or Spare air.
  • Hang bottle for safety stop.
